He was a decorated helicopter pilot who served in Vietnam and always welcomed veterans to spend some time there.
He passed away in 2009, but his dream to have a bigger location was realized in July of that year. It’s a coffee shop and warm museum, operated by Welcome Home Veterans, Inc.
This morning on Larry’s Look, we got a special tour of the coffee shop and the Living Military Museum. The museum consists of artifacts donated by patrons and families of the veterans.
It’s a collection of military memorabilia from all of the major conflicts — many are one-of-a-kind.
The historical part of the museum goes all the way back to the Revolutionary War, going forward to both World Wars, the Korean War, Vietnam, and the conflicts in the Middle East.
