CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Friday’s Larry’s Look NBC Charlotte saluted our veterans with a visit to the Conder Flag Company.
They are giving away free three-foot by five-foot U.S. embroidered star flags to all veterans and active duty military. While at Conder, Larry spoke with Marine Corps Sgt. Michael Van Deren, who was injured in combat in Iraq.
Due to Michael’s disability, he has a Great Dane service dog. A local organization is helping Van Deren transition back to life here in the Queen City. It’s called Charlotte Bridge Home and we talked to program director Paul Passaro about the great things they’re doing for returning veterans.
