This year, 750 climbers will have the chance to beat down gravity and race to the top of the Duke Energy Center’s 50th floor, as they compete against the clock. This years’ Race to the Top will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2014, starting at 8:30 am.
Race to the Top is an event owned and operated by the Charlotte Sports Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Once again, this organization is proud to partner with and support Levine Children’s Hospital.
Part of the Carolinas HealthCare System, they are a 234-bed hospital located on the main campus of Carolinas Medical Center. It is the most comprehensive facility of its type between Atlanta, Georgia and Washington D.C. Levine Children’s Hospital is also home to the Ricky Hendrick Centers for Intensive Care, which support pediatric intensive and cardiovascular surgery patients. Just five years after opening, the hospital has grown to include more than 30 pediatric specialties and has received national recognition from U.S. News & World Report as one of “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals”.
